Event details
The purpose of the meeting will be to exchange ideas and identify concrete actions
that the G20 may take reduce multiple inequalities, in areas such as:
- regional production and innovation relevant to the regional disease burden, with focus on infectious diseases
- capacities for pandemic preparedness, prevention and response to health
emergencies and pandemics - tackling antimicrobial resistance involving all relevant sectors, to inform
preparation for the High Level Meeting on AMR to be held in September 2024.
The Panel will be chaired by the South Centre and will comprise of G20 country
representatives, observers and invited international governmental and non-governmental organizations.
