The project was launched at a breakfast meeting for Ambassadors of the G77 and China, held on 9 November 2018 between 9am-10am, at the Intercontinental Hotel, Geneva. The Chair of the group, Ambassador Farukh Amil, from Pakistan, a representative from UNITAID and the Executive Director of the South Centre, Carlos Correa, discussed and presented the project. Ms. Viviana Muñoz, DIIP Coordinator, served as moderator. It had the participation of over 50 representatives from diplomatic missions, with various remarks of support.
