This national training for Brazilian federal judges specialized in intellectual property rights was organized with the School of Magistrates of the Second Federal Region of Brazil (EMARF-TRF2) between 11-13 March 2020, in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The course aimed at providing an overview of contemporary trends in IP and access to medicines issues, including new issues in patentability criteria, the international developments of IP and access to medicines across different fora, the intersection between competition law and IP, and the impacts of judicialization of health claims in Brazil.
